Reporting to: Electrical Foreman

Overall Purpose of the Role:
To ensure that electrical equipment on site is maintained correctly, support with installations and upgrades of equipment and support in breakdown situations.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• General mill-wide electrical maintenance work and fault finding on paper machines and auxiliary plant.
• Panel wiring modifications and installations, motor testing/replacement, bench testing etc.
• Liaise with Electrical Foreman to ensure that plant and equipment are working correctly.
• Repair or replace various types of electrical systems, including control circuits, distribution systems, three phase circuits, single phase circuits.
• Undertake motor maintenance activities on both AC & DC motors.
• Liaise with Electrical Foreman regarding the condition of equipment to allow for financial planning in replacement and refurbishment activities.
• Participate in the commissioning of new or modified equipment.
• Maintain the outstanding work list and work to priorities, in conjunction with other departments and within the Engineering Team.
• Ensure that switchrooms and drive stations are kept to the expected standards.
• Support in a breakdown situation.
• Ensure the Health & Safety of employees and contractors around your work and ensure that Safe Systems of Work are followed.
• Ensure all accidents and dangerous incidents are reported and appropriate action taken.

Essential Experience & Knowledge:
• L3 Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent in related discipline (essential).
• At least 3 years post apprenticeship experience in industry (essential).
• 18th Edition Wiring regulations (advantageous).
• Experience of DC and AC motor drives and control systems (highly desirable).
• Ability to fault find on systems with and without drawings (advantageous).
• Awareness and understanding of control theory (advantageous).

Overall Purpose of the Role:
To ensure that production equipment on site is maintained correctly, support with installations and upgrades of equipment and support in breakdown situations. Working alongside a Production Shift covering days and nights working.

Reporting to: Electrical Foreman

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• General mill-wide electrical & mechanical maintenance work and fault finding on paper machines and auxiliary plant.
• Repair or replace various types of LV electrical systems such as three phase circuits, single phase circuits & control circuits.
• Bench work including circuit wiring, motor repairs, fabrication, bench testing etc
• Undertake motor maintenance activities on both AC & DC motors.
• Fault finding and use of test equipment.
• Liaise with Electrical Foreman regarding the condition of equipment to allow for financial planning in replacement and refurbishment activities.
• Participate in the commissioning of new or modified equipment.
• Support with machine start up duties.
• Maintain, repair & update existing pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain the outstanding work list and work to priorities, in conjunction with other departments and within the Engineering Team.
• Ensure that switchrooms and drive stations are kept to the expected standards.
• Support in a breakdown situation.
• Ensure the Health & Safety of employees and contractors around your work and ensure that Safe Systems of Work are followed.

We are looking for 2 motivated professionals to join our team.

Overall Purpose of the Role:

Following restructures to the Engineering Team the leadership and working patterns have altered to support the engagement of the wider team.

We are offering the opportunity for a motivated individual to join a team of dedicated Engineers in maintaining our paper machines and auxiliary processes onsite, to maximise efficiencies safely, 24 hours per day. The successful applicant is to have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar environment. They will join a team working an 8-week, day based cycle, involving some weekend coverage with 6 rostered weeks off per year plus 12 days floating holidays and voluntary on call rota responsibility and opportunity of overtime.

Engineering within paper mills offers a very diverse and interesting scope of daily work, and we are looking for an individual with the enthusiasm and technical ability to further strengthen our team.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• General mill-wide maintenance work on paper machines and auxiliary plant either as part of a team or on an individual basis.
• Bench work including repairs to equipment, fabrications, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
• Use of machinery in the Engineering Workshops.
• Call out duties.
• Fault finding work on pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Boiler house and steam system maintenance.

Experience, Qualities and Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equiv.) in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
• Recognised apprenticeship (preferred)
• Min. of 3 years’ work experience as a Technician or Fitter (Essential)
• The above gained in an industrial environment (Desirable)
• Paper mill experience (Desirable)

Working Pattern:

• Rostered day pattern (including weekends) – This has changed from previous iterations and example can be provided upon request.
• To be part of an out of hours on-call rota (voluntary)

Overall Purpose of the Role:
To carry out planned and reactive building maintenance tasks and grounds work. Keep the site presentable and in good working order.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Carry out a variety of planned and reactive minor building maintenance tasks, which will be varied in nature and will include general building, joinery, tiling, plumbing, painting, paving and external works, drainage works, grounds work, gardening, roof repairs. Larger more complex repairs will be undertaken by external suppliers with support from this role.
• Carry out planned preventative building maintenance in line with set programmes.
• Undertake general facilities support tasks, including furniture building and furniture removals, grounds and site clearance, and keeping areas clean and tidy.
• Work individually or as part of a team to complete repair and maintenance tasks. Manage and prioritise own workload to complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Report to supervisor all work undertaken and report additional areas/work.
• Assist the broader maintenance team in their duties.
• Adhere to company health and safety policy and procedures, identify hazards and undertake point of work risk assessments as required.
• Communicate effectively with building occupiers to minimise inconvenience when planning and undertaking building maintenance, use of signs and barriers as appropriate.
• Carry out additional hours if required.
• Liaise with outside contractors as required.

Experience & Knowledge:
• Ideally, wood machine shop experienced.
• NVQ level 3 or trade qualifications advantageous.
• Basic PC literacy ideally; to be able to send emails and update the maintenance management system.
• FLT license / IPAF trained advantageous.
• May suit craftsperson looking for a later stage career change.

We are looking for 3 motivated professionals to join our team.

Overall Purpose of the Role:
Our Production department offers opportunities to work in a fast-paced and high care environment within our paper mill. The Micrex/ ETP Operator position involves operating the Micrex machines as instructed, and according to quality requirements. Being involved in trials of new products and continuous improvement projects, but also working with plant equipment such as crepers, hand trucks, weighbridge, strapping equipment, labelling machine, shell cutters, wrapping machines, overhead cranes and other ETP plant equipment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Ancillary (Micrex, Harnden and Crepers)
• Physical operation of all aspects of the winding and creping machines to achieve programmed and technical specifications.
• Inspection of finished reels and checking weight, crepe style, grammage, diameter and reel lengths.
• Logging each reel into machine logbooks, specification sheets and QIS system as required.
• Preparing labels, wrappers, protection materials and cutting centers.
• Packing reels to specification.
• Washing off machinery and keeping machines clean.
• Assisting in running trials.
• Ensuring good housekeeping in working areas including shell cutters.

Qualifications:
• Maths Grade C or above GCSE level
• English Grade C or above at GCSE level

• Attention to detail – Checking for quality defects, and reeling standard, before weighing finished reels, maintaining high housekeeping standards.

Working Pattern:
Working hours are split shifts rotation 06:00 – 14:00, 14:00-22:00, 22:00-06:00 Monday to Friday. There is a 2-week shut in summer and Christmas that is required to be taken from you annual leave allowance.

Reporting to the Process Manager within the Regulatory and Technical Department, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient usage of process chemicals, as well as providing chemical support to regulatory compliance, product safety, and continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out COSHH assessments and maintain the chemical information system.
• Monitor legislative developments and inform management (REACH, CLP, etc.)
• Monitor chemical dosing and storage systems to ensure they work reliably and effectively
• Deliver troubleshooting support to production processes to help ensure process consistency
• Responding to customer regulatory compliance questions
• Ensure that the Day Lab areas are clean and tidy
• Maintaining stocks of lab consumables for the QC and Day Labs
• Liaising with suppliers to find new/alternative process chemicals (with Product Management).
• Data analysis as required, such as of backwater redox for antimicrobial unit.
• Support laboratory and paper machine trial work with regard to new chemicals.
• Provide technical chemical support to the papermaking processes.
• Chemical support for Regulatory Affairs & Product Safety work.

Education and Competence
